Immerse yourself in an authentic Paddock to Plate experience. Hosted by renowned Farmer and Butcher John Mauger, the three-hour tour will introduce you to a Southern Highlands working farm.
After morning tea and welcome you’ll be introduced to the farm, the Mauger family and their grass-fed beef and lamb farming methods.
‘Meet the Mob’ take a walk across the paddocks and learn about different breeds on the farm, how and why they are selected.
The ‘Art of Butchery’ demonstration, where the master butcher breaks down a side of beef, explaining each cut and taking questions. The plate part! A sumptuous lunch of slow roasted Maugers beef or lamb rolls with homemade preserves.
You’ll then go on to explore breathtaking Fitzroy Falls and a finish with wine tasting at one of the Highlands famous cold climate vineyards ‘Mount Ashby Estate’.
The tour is suitable for all ages, with something for everyone. Minimum 9 guests.
